High Heat, Humidity Will Be Followed By Frequent Chances For Showers, Storms

A stretch of high heat and humidity will be followed by a pattern that will see the return of frequent chances for showers and storms.

Thursday, July 6 will be dry with a mix of clouds and sun and a high temperature ranging from the upper 80s to low 90s, according to the National Weather Service.

"The hot and humid conditions are following an unseasonably cool June for much of the East," AccuWeather.com says. 

Friday, July 7 will be mostly sunny with a high temperature in the upper-80s. 

There will be a slight chance for showers and storms from mid-afternoon until early evening.

Clouds will increase on Saturday, July 8, with breaks of sun at times, and a high temperature in the mid-80s. 

Storms and showers are possible from the afternoon through late in the evening.

The outlook for Sunday, July 9 calls for mostly cloudy skies with a high temperature in the mid 80s and an increased chance for precipitation.

There should be scattered showers in the morning before showers and storms become likely starting in the early afternoon into early in the evening.

Clouds will linger on Monday, July 10 with a chance for showers. The high temperature will be in the low 80s.
